This was a very strange time for everyone. I started this sketchbook in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic and at the time I had a very
complicated relationship with my art which made me feel disattached and estranged to it. I felt like I needed to revaluate it, reinvent it, and challenge it. It became my 2020 new year resolution, but it took me almost
a year to start this specific sketchbook.
As you can see, I used a lot of mixed media, which was something I hadn't really explored before. Stickers, markers, magazine cut outs, washi tape, anything. This made the sketchbook a bit fat so I had to hold the pages down when taking pictures of the pages (I managed to edit out my hand tho lmao).
I highly recommend doing something like this if you ever feel stuck with your art. It was a great experience and an interesting journey.
These are some of my fav pages!
